I am interested in the use of simple population dynamic theory as a tool for understanding ecological systems and, in particular, the epidemiology and evolution of parasites.
I am interested in the impact of symbionts (be they parasites or beneficial partners) on the evolutionary ecology of animals.
Working on the ecology and evolution of infection in wild rodent populations, including wild rodent reservoirs of zoonotic infections such as plague and leptospirosis.
My main research interests are the causes and consequences of genetic variation in host and parasite populations.
