About EEGID

The group’s research combines “ecological and evolutionary approaches to the understanding of infectious disease, from both fundamental and applied perspectives. Working on a wide-range of disease systems, including wildlife infections, reproductive parasites of insects, and human microbial pathogens, we employ a diversity of approaches: theory, controlled experiments, genomic analyses and fieldwork”.

The group’s main research focuses are:

Wildlife disease dynamics

Coinfection

Coevolution

Parasite genomics
